What does it REALLY take to make 6 figures as a service professional?

Over the past 30 years, I’ve read so much about making money that I know I can write a series of books on the subject, books that go through the garbage and you don’t have to buy 101 things for each one. zone.

Most of the information is repeated: the same author, different title and packaging, or different author repeating someone else’s list. The whole how, this, and how, I was freaking out as to what it REALLY takes to make $ 100,000 or more in income.

A few months ago, I decided to go on a pilgrimage to create a quick, easy-to-see, all-in-one list of what it REALLY takes to generate a six-figure income as a service professional: accountant. , coach, consultant and other entrepreneurs? Of course, the list is easy to read, but it requires awareness and consistency to achieve.

What this list did for me: It freed up some valuable time I was searching for what I might possibly need in the future, it kept me focused, increased clarity, and best of all, I was able to reduce my reading time. He also had a plan. Here’s the list of what I consider to be the top 50 (actually the list was 350), but I picked the top 50 and removed the repeats.

1. Get up early and start early.

2. Take time to reflect on the day every night for at least 30 to 60 minutes.

3. Create a vision before you get out of bed each morning about how you see the day’s progress. See the clients who come to you, see that the meetings go smoothly, see their planning, and more.

4. Begin and diligently use a business journal to record ideas, thoughts, suggestions, and reading / learning.

5. Dress in a way that feels comfortable and powerful with your energy. It radiates and attracts.

6. Work longer hours. (Don’t shoot the messenger).

7. Schedule your time.

8. Always ask yourself every night: “What can I do better tomorrow than I learned today?”

9. Complete a one-page SMART business plan with a professional so they can get a bird’s-eye view, because you’re too close and because you’re paying them, they have an investment in your success.

10. Complete a one-page SMART marketing plan; the same goes for the above.

11. Complete a SMART one page sales plan; the same goes for the above.

12. Complete a one-page SMART project plan; the same goes for the above.

13. Complete a one-page SMART service product plan; the same goes for the above.

14. Complete a one-page SMART product plan for each product BEFORE you begin.

15. Always know your BE point (breakeven point) for each project / service / product that you carry out.

16. Separate your learning time from the time you think you are marketing.

17. The best hours and days for sales calls are Tuesday through Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm. M. At 4 p. M.

18. When you want to reach the business owner, try to call him before 8 a.m. M. Or after 5 p.m. M.

19. Passive income generating products are required.

20. Have a strong business support system.

21. Be a writer or speaker to promote.

22. Become technically proficient in the software you use (non-expert, proficient).

23. Post to-do lists every day.

24. Manage your time like gold.

25. Have backup plans, alternative solutions, for everything.

26. Learn to say no and say it quickly when you are not currently in your focus.

27. Enjoy a planning vacation twice a year with yourself.

28. Outsource anything that can be completed in fewer hours than you.

29. Take advantage of all your resources as much as possible.

30. Eliminate Networking Groups If you’re not getting leads, don’t wait.

31. Leave volunteering alone until you’ve hit 6 figures, people won’t listen to you anyway until you hit that level or higher anyway.

32. Don’t let technology steal your time.

33. Sleeping in late.

34. Spend your energy talking about X instead of acting on it.

35. Write your dollar goal on the largest piece of paper you can find and hold it to the wall in front of you and ask all the to-dos on your list these questions: How will you turn me into that number? Is it a short, medium or long term money generation project?

36. The percentage of time you spend on short-term projects will determine how much money will arrive sooner. Percentage of time = when the money comes in.

37. Maintaining irregular office hours does not help.

38. It can only grow as big as the tank it is currently in. If you want to grow, move to a pond, then a lake, and then an ocean. The fish will get bigger as you go until you are the whale in the ocean.

39. Just read and learn what you need now, everything else is a waste because it will change quickly when you need it.

40. Work with a good coach, one with years of experience in what you want to achieve.

41. Master creating income-generating products.

42. Have a system or process for everything.

43. Work with a virtual assistant as soon as possible, even before you think you can afford it. You really can’t afford not to.

44. Create strategic alliances: people of whom you are very aware of what they do, how they do it, how good they are, how can you send them references, you yours, how they work together on joint products to create something that is powerful and not it can be found nowhere else.

45. It’s a numbers game. If you want 10 new clients a month, you need to speak to 100 to 300 prospects a month, and you must have the wherewithal to do so in a smoothly running process (otherwise your partner will be overwhelmed).

46. Set mental limits. When you are working, your mind is 100% there, when you are at home, 100% there. The more they cross, productivity drops 50% or more.

47. Finish what you start, always. Half-finished to-dos at the end of the day create an energy debt that lingers overnight. The payment for this is very large. Don’t write continuous goals on your list. Create a to-do list that only fits the time you have for that day. The task may be small for a larger project (which is listed in the one page project plan mentioned above).

48. Create an R&D team for each project.

49. Don’t buy anything unless you’ve already used it. Be in the now with your purchase and not in the “one day I’m sure I’ll use it.”

50. Go on a 30-day information diet to reprogram your focus, learn to listen and get in touch with your higher self and knowledge, and to increase the clarity of your life, business, career, and your own path.
