7 Pirates of the Burning Sea Tips You Should Know

Pirates of the Burning Sea is a complex game. It’s easy for players to overlook some of the simpler game options while playing. We have included a list of 7 simple things you can do to make your gaming experience that much better. Earn more money, kill enemies easier, and level up faster with the following tips:

1. SELF-FIRE: If you hold down the controller and then left-click on the ‘Fire Cannons’ icon on your toolbar, you can set your weapons to fire as soon as they are loaded. They will only shoot the targets you have selected, so make sure you know who you want to shoot before attempting this.

2. DOUBLE SIDES: Not only can you set your weapons to fire automatically, but you can also fire at targets that you haven’t selected. If you have a target selected and you’re shooting at it, but another comes within range on the other side of your ship, you can also shoot it by simply double-right-clicking on it. This is great when the enemy is around you and you want to maximize your firepower.

3. WIDE SIDE OF MEDIUM RESISTANCE: You don’t have to wait until your weapons are all reloaded. If your gunners are half charged (indicated by the small circle near the battery icon), you can hold down the ALT key and left-click on the battery you want to fire. Great if you’re getting to the point where every shot counts.

4. PARTIAL AUCTION HOUSE ORDERS: The auction house at POTBS is not like other games. There are no “full buy” prices, and if you bid more than the price of the item, that is the price it will sell for. But generally you will find a good deal on multiple items if you select the ‘partial’ option. Try to pick up partial orders for fractions of the price, as people will often try to get rid of small batches just to make room in their inventory.

5. PRIVATE CHAT: If you want to send someone a private message, just click on their name in the chat window.

6. GENERAL SKILLS COACH: You can improve your navigational, maneuvering and artillery focus skills by visiting the general trainer located in your nation’s capital. Improving these skills requires 1 skill point, but is worth the expense.

7. AVOID THE GARBAGE DEALER: Many players first buy their ammo and consumables from the junk dealer. WHOSE!! You can get these items for much less at the Auction House. Even if you have to make a short trip to a nearby port to get them, it is almost always better than getting them from the scrap metal dealer.
