The lunar eclipse of August 5 put Hades and my Neptune into play. You guessed it: a large water leak in my bathroom. As I write this, the plumbers are at work tearing down my bathroom wall and ceiling to fix the problem. I am sharing this with you so that you know that astrologers are not immune to bad aspects. They can affect any of us depending on how they arrive at an individual chart.
It should be noted that this month there is a major setup that starts on August 18 and ends on August 24. That planetary image is 0 Cardinal + Saturn = Uranus – sudden events in the world. We may learn of the death of a well-known public figure or additional news related to a previous death. Immediately after that configuration passes, another ugly planetary picture appears: Saturn + Hades = Uranus. This can mean sudden loss of money, property, or life.
Tuesday August 18. Nothing is stable today as the Sun remains opposite Neptune within the orb, a respectable orb of less than one degree, and Mars is opposite Uranus. Be careful not to get distracted from what you are doing, or an accident may occur. Stay away from anyone who tries to beat you in an argument. If you drive, drive defensively; I might find a way to road rage. Keep your cell phone handy at all times today. Electrical problems as well as mechanical breakdowns are another manifestation of Mars, Uranus. With this negative configuration there is a ray of pleasure. It is Mercury + Venus = Jupiter: optimistic, friendly and pleasant communications. A beautiful evening may be in store for you tonight with someone special.
Wednesday August 19th has Sun/Neptune + Uranus = Mars, leading to a restless/nervous day. With Neptune in the picture, you don’t know what’s coming your way, and the slightest misunderstanding can lead to a sudden altercation. Once again, I have to warn you about the possibility of accidents. Be careful at work, things are unstable and tempers can get worse. It’s a busy day for auto and appliance repair people. If you don’t have to drive today, DON’T! Venus + Jupiter = Saturn. Two money planets plus Saturn indicate a challenging money day. Control your spending today, and if you don’t have to shop, don’t! There are no real bargains at this time.
Thursday August 20. The day begins with a new moon. If you have plans for a new venture, I would wait a day or two to start those plans because Uranus is now at the midpoint of Mercury and Mars. Mercury Mars indicates arguments, add Uranus to the picture and you get a sudden, erratic, noisy interruption that can be violent. A slap to the face or a punch to the jaw can occur today during a verbal interaction. With this planetary image in effect, accidents can happen so beware of road rage. In the late afternoon/early evening Mercury + Venus = Neptune, kick back and have a drink with dinner tonight to help release the stresses of the day. Again, a word of warning: limit your spending today. If you buy something, even as small as a newspaper or magazine, count your change and keep track of your spending. Keep a close eye on your wallet or purse – you may find yourself standing next to Louie, who is left-handed.
Friday August 21 has Sun + Node = Hades/ 0 Cardinal. Today, the media will emphasize the increase of the needy and homeless in the world. The stock market closes with the planetary chart of Venus + Mercury = Neptune, economic losses. What seemed to be promising will turn sour today. The evening will find many wanting to release tension. If you are in public, take care of your belongings. If you go out at night, don’t walk alone late at night. Be sure to be with a friend and stay sober, as the day ends on Sun 22 ½ Saturn. With this combo, many can run out of plans tonight; rent a video, read a book.
Saturday, August 22 Sun + Node = Hades / 0 cardinal is still valid. Be aware of who is walking or driving near you. This planetary image has a criminal element. One of the meanings of Hades is evil or criminality, Nodes indicates connections, and Sun is the day. Another interpretation of Hades is illness or injury, and you can find it in the hospital emergency room, so be careful. At night Mercury/Uranus + Neptune = Venus, socialize with friends tonight. Instead of spending money at a restaurant, invite your friends over and have everyone bring a different dish. Good luck with the wine. It could be a fun night in more ways than one.
Sunday August 23 has Venus + Neptune = Uranus, a beautiful day to spend with friends. You could go to the beach or do something different and relaxing. Many will be sharing with friends on the Internet. Make sure the person you’re talking to online is really your friend, especially if you’ve never met them. If you’re involved with an internet dating service, be sure to verify anyone you’re talking to before meeting them in person. When you first see him, do it in a public place like a coffee shop or restaurant. With Venus and Mars, the man and the woman have the Sun, Hades, Node, Neptune and Uranus traveling together. Be careful out there.
Monday, August 24. The day begins with Mars square Hades, unsavory acts that can include murder. This Mars Hades will be at the midpoint of 0 Cardinal/Mercury. Audiences are in a nasty vile murderous frame of mind, not necessarily in a literal way. Because Hades is involved in this planetary image, an angry mood may have to do with the health care bill. Another meaning for Hades is sickness and disease. With Mercury and Venus still sextile each other, the word getting around is that this ticket is good for you, try it you’ll like it. This message will not ease the frustration as Saturn + Mercury, Mars, Hades = Uranus. Anger and frustration will dominate the day. The funny thing is that the day will end with Venus 22 ½ to Jupiter. The stock market will probably close due to this aspect.
Tuesday August 25 will be an unstable and tense day with Sol 22 ½ to Uranus. In the afternoon Mars and Mercury will be at 0 Cardinal, and when that happens they will be at the Pluto/Hades midpoint. Mercury, Mars on the cardinal axis is angry verbal confrontation in public. Add Pluto and Hades to the mix, we have public outcry, due to a general feeling of not being treated fairly and a sense of decadence from those in power.
Wednesday August 26 begins with Mercury + Pluto = Mars. Whenever Mars and Pluto are combined, and in this case they are opposed to each other, without signs of positive change, anger is expressed. Add Mercury to the picture we have, verbal anger can lead to an outburst of anger. Since Pluto is still connected to 0 Cardinal and Hades, battles in the Middle East can be reset as well. Venus will change sign and be 22 ½ Jupiter/Neptune, so beware of overspending on summer sales. Don’t buy it if you don’t need it.
On Thursday, August 27, the Sun will be 22 ½ from the Uranus/Hades midpoint. Danger lurks today, be careful, frustration makes people act erratically. 0 Cardinal + Cupid = Saturn, don’t let your frustration lead to family breakdown, that can lead to family breakdown, like a divorce. Dissolution of groups either social / friends or work teams. The Sun will also be the Zeus/Admetos midpoint, my advice to those who feel they are stuck is to make a fresh start for a new venture. At the end of the day, Venus will be 22 ½ from Neptune, so the weekend will start early for some. For others it would be nice to find a way to relax tonight, with friends with some wine, cheese, laughter, music and dancing.
On Friday, August 28, Venus will be 22 ½ from the Neptune/Admetos midpoint, this is the beginning of the last week of August, making some realize that summer is almost over. This is a good day for women to start some degree changes in their lives, especially in the artistic realm. The stock market will either close down a bit or stay the same.
Saturday August 29, Zeus + Admetos = Venus, don’t try big projects… enjoy small pleasures. Take in the scenery, take some photos to post on your Facebook page, and enjoy. Mercury will be square Mars, avoid arguments at all costs and be careful when driving.
On Sunday the 30th, the Sun will be 22 ½ to 0 Cardinal, which is still the Pluto/Hades midpoint. We might hear bad news about Ted Kennedy; it could take a turn for the worse. What happens today will be played in full view of the public. Mercury/Mars will be 22 ½ from Apollo/Vulcan. There will be a lot of news for the media.
Monday August 31, today begins with Sun 22 ½ to Pluto, a day of power games and manipulation. Do not react or allow the games to affect you. Do not try to control anything or anyone’s behavior and you will be in control. If something like the health bill is forced, it would be a bad idea since Mercury is preparing to turn retrograde in another week. The day ends with Mercury 45 to Jupiter, good news that lends itself to a pleasant evening.
