Passover: piercing through your enemies (2)

If God does not display his power then our enemies in the category of Pharaoh will not let us be. And Easter night was the best opportunity for him to do it. That day he manifested his sovereignty and always his willingness to deliver his people from his enemies. And that is also why among the readings during this annual celebration is the recitation of the ten plagues, calamities with which the Egyptians were struck. He personally instructed the Israelites to pass the story on to their next generations forever. He has different ways of dealing with different levels of enemies. He may choose to promote and empower you above some. He can warn you in dreams and visions or through circumstances. He can afflict you with trouble; diseases and ailments that will never remember to bother you again. Some people find themselves in terrible situations today because they refused to leave others alone, especially the innocent. God is permanently against the wicked, the unjust and the exploiters. When you dig pits for others or want to victimize them without just cause, then also prepare yourself for divine consequences because they will surely come. God will treat you mercilessly after warning you. He can also eliminate you if that is the only option to stop your evil plans and works. I have personally seen people end up this way. When God sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh, the proud, wicked, envious and devilish king of Egypt asked them: “Who is this God of yours that he should let the Israelites go? I do not know him and I will not let you go.” to nowhere”. “My God! Imagine that? And not just putting them away increased the intensity of their bondage, pain, and agony. Are you going through that now?”

But this is also exactly what your enemies are asking for with their words, actions, and determination to deal with you. They don’t believe that anything or anyone can deliver you from their hands. They don’t believe that anyone can call them to order or to account after they take you out or take you down. I remember the proud and rude king of Assyria, as he mocked the Israelites and his God, asking who could deliver them out of his hands. He went further by listing all the nations and kings that he had destroyed in order to demoralize the Israelites. You remember the great Goliath bragging and humiliating the entire army of Israel for days before God humiliated him with little David and his crude weapon. And what about Joseph’s brothers who mocked him and boasted that they would kill him and see what would become of his dreams? My God! Listen, it’s normal for enemies to not only mock you and your vision, but also mock your God and what you stand for. They did it to others. But they are not God, they are men. Are you listening to me? I said that your enemies, your scoffers, your traitors are not God. The Bible says that the “Egyptians are not God, they are men.” No matter how determined and formidable they may seem or sound, they are still men: human, limited, fallible, and flesh and blood. It is only God who has the last word in that matter and not your enemies.

God was patient with the king of Egypt and his men in all their ignorance, pride, defiance, and taunts. He kept warning and showing his power to change his decisions, but they refused. He afflicted them with plagues of water that turned to blood, frogs, lice, flies, pestilence of cattle, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and death of his firstborn. The punishment was shattering, vexatious and total. It was economical, both physical and spiritual. Locusts, pestilence, hail, wild beasts were cheap. Frogs, lice, skin diseases, were physical and contrary to his health. The blood and darkness were spiritual because they worshiped the Nile, crocodiles, fish, and other creatures and spirits in the water. They also worshiped the Sun. He remembers that he said that he would smite the Egyptians and their gods. The death of all the firstborn of men and animals in Egypt was against his pride and strength and was the last straw that broke the camel’s back. God will force your enemies to let you go. Now, the Passover ordinance is permanent, forever and for all generations. What God did then He will also do for you now. You are being set free from slavery, pain, sadness, poverty, disease, sin, demonic oppression, confusion, failure, satanic pacts and attacks, oppression and shame in Jesus mighty name! ! Listen to him: “Remember, these instructions are a permanent law that you and your descendants must observe forever. When you enter the land that the LORD has promised to give you, you will continue to observe this ceremony. Then your children will ask, ‘What does this ceremony mean? And you will answer, ‘It is the LORD’s Passover sacrifice, because he bypassed the houses of the Israelites in Egypt.’ Exodus 12:24-27. To be continued. Share this post with others. Chag Samach! Happy Holidays!
