Visit Cyprus for a memorable vacation

I visited Cyprus a couple of years ago and had a truly memorable holiday experience. Cyprus offers around 300 sunny days a year with temperatures reaching thirty degrees in each of the summer months. I stayed in Ayia Napa, known as the alternative to Ibiza, but now it has become a more familiar place.

However it still offers a magnificent nightlife. Some of the best nightclubs worth checking out include Castle Club, Hollywood Boulevard, BedRock Inn and Club Abyss, the latter being a club like no other you’ve probably experienced.

Paphos is located in the west of the island and is the ideal place for a cultural experience. You can learn about the Greek gods that are associated with the island, including Aphrodite, who is the Greek goddess of love. Starting off, the Greek god Cronus threw something into the sea which turned out to be something that turned into Aphrodite. He was then carried by the waves to Cyprus and has received many visitors over the years who have come to pay their respects.

Paphos is also popular for its beautiful old harbour, as well as its charming waterfront and archaeological museum, Paphos Byzantine Castle, Temple of Aphrodite and the Tombs of the Kings and St Paul’s Pillar.

Cyprus has many attractive beaches to tempt you, as well as ancient ruins and beautiful mountains, amazing smelling olive trees and citrus groves. The mountain ranges are a great place to visit in the colder winter months as they offer great walks and are perfect for biking, the views are simply stunning.

For me, visiting the old wine producing villages was a fantastic experience, seeing the primitive ways of living with just the basics and how they make wine with their own traditional methods.

Cyprus is ideally located as a starting point to visit other exotic places located near the island. You can find short cruises leaving from Cyprus most days to the Greek islands or you can visit Egypt or the Middle East.

Holidays in Cyprus will mean you will experience an amazing cultural place rich in history, with beautiful beaches and sweet smelling mountain ranges.
